We believe God wants to free His people so that they have something to offer the rest of the world. Let's face it; too often when "outsiders" look at us, they don't think we're all that much different from them. We so often have the same addictions, the same relational challenges, and the same anxieties that they have.

Is this because a life with God is no different from a life lived without Him? We don't think so. We believe that instead, the enemy of our souls has duped us into believing we can only "cope" instead of being freed.

Something deep within us is crying that it's past time for that to change! OUR GOD IS MORE THAN ENOUGH! So we have answered His call to partner with Him in bringing the life-giving message of hope and liberty found in Him.

We would never try to lead someone else where we have not walked ourselves. Trust me when I say that we have dealt with our own issues in nearly every area mentioned above! But we have found that our God is able to deliver. In fact, my life verse comes from John 8:30-31, which reads, "If you continue in My Word, then you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

This isn't to say we don't have compassion on the very real challenges people face. We do. We know from experience what it is like to be in such tremendous emotional and mental pain that it's questionable whether or not we'd ever get out of the pit. But we finally came to realize that our pit is not greater than our God, and He is in the business of delivering people!

I am a certified member in good standing with the American Association of Christian Counselors, and I received my training in Caring for People God's Way from Light Learning Institute. I am currently accepting new clients in Hutchinson, Kansas, and the surrounding area.

Some of the areas of individual ministry include marriage challenges, depression, forgiveness, guilt, addictions/sin, grief and loss, stress and anxiety, finances, and anger.

Most lay counselors in our area charge about $80 an hour; my desire is to provide affordable, yet effective, counseling based on the truth found in God's Word. I have a suggested fee of $20 an hour, and I have complete confidence that if I leave payment of that between the client and God, there will always be enough to meet my needs. I'm not doing this to make money--I'm doing it because I know my JESUS is BIG ENOUGH to free ANYBODY! If a person is able to pay, it will help cover the expenses of my training and enable me to continue to volunteer my time to other ministry endeavors.
