After Nontobeko graduated from high school, she began college classes on the weekends to become a social worker. During the week, she has served as the secretary in our office on site in eSwatini, Africa.

On August 12, 2023, she married Malibongwe Mftupha, who has the calling to be a pastor. We hired him as our youth pastor, and he’s done an outstanding job teaching the young people what it really means to follow Jesus.

On February 27, 2025, their beautiful daughter Owenkosi was born. Her name means, “belongs to God.”

Nontobeko continues to be a tremendous example and encouragement to her “sisters” at Shepherd’s Care. We look forward to seeing how the Lord will use her as a social worker who will help rescue more children who are crying out to God for help.
