This home has a long history of service. It was built in the late 1800's, then purchased by the Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church to fulfill their vision for an "old people's home."
For many years, it was the Sunshine Home before being moved to its current location, where we Spencers have lived for twenty years. We raised our family of eight children here--four birth and four adopted--and many happy memories have been made here.
We want that joy to live on, so there's plenty of space for relaxing, including our front porch, balcony, and back deck. We also have a grill for your use, or you can enjoy a meal in Buhler or nearby Hutchinson, only ten miles away.
Maybe you'd rather just stay put. We're here to serve your needs, and we pray that your visit is blessed with rest, relaxation, recreation, and reconnection with those you love.

The Mission of the Owners
Our name reflects the loving touch of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, and His staff, which is grand in every aspect of His care of His sheep.
We want our home to provide that kind of loving care--so that just walking through the front door brings an awareness of His peace. And we like to throw in big doses of just flat-out "spoiling" you while we're at it.
For more information about Grand Staff Ministries, Inc., our mission work in Africa, follow the link on this website. Although these are two separate entities, they have both been born from our hearts as the Lord has moved on us to serve those He loves.
