Khonelinkkhosi and her older sister were abandoned by their mother because of their father’s abusive behaviors. Since the mom had no place to go, and abandonment is so common in the culture, she left her girls with their dad.
But besides being violent, he was also neglectful, leaving them alone without food for long periods of time. Charges have now been filed against him.
Khonelinkhosi suffers a deep wound to be abandoned and neglected by the two most important people in your life.
