Noncedo
Noncedo and her little sister came to Shepherd’s Care Homes in January of 2025, soon after we arrived in the country. They were in desperate need of their basic needs being met, because they weren’t even given ample food to survive.
Their mother is disabled, so she depended on her brother to help care for her children. Unfortunately, he was unwilling to continue to provide for their needs. Eswatini has no funding to help disabled people survive, so their mother begged social welfare to help her children. I questioned providing food so they could stay on the homestead, but their uncle doesn’t want that.
The girls will be able to visit their mother during every spring break while she’s living. Thank you for considering being part of their story.
